The two films aims to give the visitors of a Rogaland home a look into the history of costal culture, set to a christmas evening in 1907 .

As well as discribing the functionality of the different part of the house, espessially the "kole", the central light source in the house and the "stryda", the exhaust funnel up to the kids bedroom (!), the films hints to the upcoming migration from Norway to America.

Freedom of the seas

Documentary (in progress)

Freedom of the Seas examines how powerstructures, globalization and capitalism challange democratic rights such as the common law court to the sea, and therefore also living conditions for both individuals and societies along the coast of Norway.

The fishing industry is Norways second largest source of income after the oil. How is the opportunity to make aliving from fishing distributed in the Norwegian continental shelf? Who can buy fishing quotas and how much does it cost? Who are the owners?

These seemingly simple questions turn out to be complicated to Norwegian authorities to respond to.

Migration Age

Documentary series (in progress)

The Migration Age, spanning from the late Roman Empire to the early Middle Ages, was a transformative period characterized by the movement of peoples across Europe.

Amid the decline of the Roman Empire, various 'barbarian' tribes from the north, including the Visigoths, Ostrogoths, Vandals, Burgundians, Langobards, and others, seized the opportunity to migrate and establish new kingdoms. This era witnessed clashes of cultures, the fall of empires, and the emergence of new political and social structures.

The series aims to explore the dynamic stories of these 'barbarian' tribes as they navigated an era of upheaval, leaving a lasting impact on the history and legacy of Europe.
